Liz Lawrence writes heartfelt music in an honest an open way. Incredible hooks, and instant but sensitive lyrics.
Brought up in the midlands and now living in London she played “I’d Rather” on a wet and miserable day. Get her single “Bedroom Hero”

Kevin Devine

Kevin Devine, from Brooklyn, New York, was one of those musicians we were completely caught off guard with. We had listened to his music as a full band in advance but we unprepared for how an acoustic song might sound.

This session instantly transformed us into big Kevine Devine fans- plus he was even polite enough to invite us to a secret gig later on, one which we were kicking ourselves for from not being able to go…

Back to the UK for a tour in June supporting CURSIVE, so go see this man!

Alessi’s Ark

Alessi’s airy vocals filled the camper van with a dreamy vibe. Whilst her quips filled us with laughter.

We were treated to the song ‘Ribbon Lakes’ from her debut album Notes from the Treehouse.

She’s recently worked alongside Maccabee’s Orlando to on the beautifully crafted ‘Young Colossus’ and is also working on a new album.

The King Blues

Punk and Poetry has recently cemented The King Blues as one of the UK’s biggest bands. We picked them up round the back of the Underworld at the Camden Crawl and ‘Headbutt’ epitomises the latest release to a tee. Angry yet poetic, with an ever present political tone.
